AQUARIUM WATER / AQUARIUM SETUP

WATER QUALITY
Our RO Water has an EC ( electrical conductivity ) of 0.7 µs/cm ( micro siemens per centimetre ) and a TDS (total dissolved solids) result of less than 1 PPM (parts per million). This is superior to 'under-sink' and small domestic type ro units that typically only achieve between 7 to 15 PPM of TDS, and depending on the quality of your source water and amounts used, you may need to use special cleaners or replace membranes frequently to maintain those readings.
PH and OXYGEN
PH readings of RO Water, or any purified water for that matter will usually be around 6. This is because the water is so pure that it actually absorbs carbon dioxide from the air, however, because the water is so pure it only takes a very small additive in order to make a large difference in value, and if you are adding it to existing tank water you probably wont need to do anything. Distilled and RO Water is typically very low in free oxygen, so it is a good idea to AERATE your RO Water for 24 Hrs before using it
